Characteristics and uses of angular contact ball bearings:

Angular contact ball bearings have a higher maximum speed limit and can bear radial and axial loads at the same time, as well as pure axial loads. Their axial load capacity is determined by the contact angle and increases with the increase of the contact angle.

Single-row angular contact ball bearings can only bear axial loads in one direction. When bearing radial loads, additional axial forces will be caused, and the corresponding reverse loads must be applied. Therefore, this type of bearing is generally used in pairs.

Double-row angular contact ball bearings can bear large radial and axial bidirectional combined loads and moment loads dominated by radial loads. They can limit the bidirectional axial displacement of the shaft or housing, and the contact angle is 30 degrees.

Angular contact ball bearings installed in pairs can bear radial and axial bidirectional combined loads dominated by radial loads, as well as pure radial loads. The tandem configuration can only bear axial loads in a single direction, while the other two configurations can bear axial loads in either direction. This type of bearing is generally selected and combined by the manufacturer and submitted to the user in pairs. After installation, there is pre-compression interference, and the rings and steel balls are in an axial preload state, thereby improving the stiffness and rotation accuracy of the entire set of bearings as a single support.
